My name is Ashley P. Hardaway-Espey
Ashley Paige has over 15 years of experience in ministry where she served by assisting her father and leading worship in ministry. She has nine years of teaching experience with a Bachelors Degree in Education ( P.E.) and a Masters Degree in School Library Science (Instructional Media & Technology). She has used the Grief Recovery Method for her personal journey in grief, and was certified as a Grief Recovery Method Specialist by the Grief Recovery Institute. Her purpose in life is to intentionally make time for the broken and assist them on their journey to recovery and restoration.
In 2013 Ashley’s first cousin passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 33. She had her first experience with depression and an overwhelming response to the difficulties of grief. The day after burying her cousin, on their trip back to TN, they realized that they were unable to wake their father. They had to pull over on the side of the interstate, and after a few minutes he came to. They spent a week at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. This is when the family became aware of the health complications that their father was experiencing. After many different surgeries and tests, Ashley’s father eventually ended up on dialysis three days a week. While it seemed as if he was improving, on March 22nd, 2015 Ashley’s father passed unexpectedly.
Ashley attempted to save her father’s life through CPR, yet was not successful. Ashley found herself quickly experiencing thoughts and feelings that she had never experienced before. She was made aware of the difficulties of attempting to do life with a broken heart. Multiple times throughout her journey, she felt that suicide would be the best option. God spoke to Ashley and told her that He would birth something out of her through her journey.
After much hard work and dedication, Ashley is now stronger than ever and ready to restore the broken-hearted.
